The Age of the Raven Tour
The Age of the Raven Tourđź’€
On Tuesday the 24th of October 2017, I saw a new upcoming metal band, The RavenAge, for a third time. This was particularly important to me as I finally got to meet them after seeing them support Anthrax on their tour in February of this year, and then seeing them at Download Festival, it was great to actually be able to talk to the band and ask them a few questions.
The gig was at the Star and Garter pub in Manchester, and the whole atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed. All the band members were lovely, and eager to talk to us all and thank us for coming out to see them. This was the first time I'd properly met a band and been able to talk to them for longer than just a few seconds, and its going to be great to see them grow and release more music.
The RavenAge are a brilliant band to see live, they are so engaging with their audience, and you can see how passionate and humble they are about their music which is great to see. The debut album Darkness Will Rise, is one of my favourites of this year and I can't wait for them to release more music, particular song favourites of mine from that album are Angel In Disgrace and The Death March, which they played and they were phenomenal. Their music is something new and different from the more older metal/rock I usually listen to, but I really enjoy their sound and the lyrics because all the songs are different and have a particular meaning, and I hope that they will become increasingly popular because they deserve it.
Overall, the gig was amazing from start to finish and being able to meet them and have a real conversation was an added bonus. I would recommend The RavenAge to any metal or rock music enthusiast, they are just brilliant. Thank you to Michael, Jai, Tony, George and Matt for being so humble and welcoming, I wish you all the success in the world and hope to see you again soon.
